There's a poll at the end, so make sure to fill that out.
On this blog there's two recurring themes and subjects: the Ice Cream Truck Sticker and LittleBigPlanet HUB. And back in April I noticed something, and no one else did for some flipping reason.

I noticed that LittleBigPlanet HUB was to have the LittleBigPlanet 1 Beta Background, the Seaside - something wanted by everyone and anyone in LittleBigPlanet. After I discovered this, I made this image and tweeted @LittleBigPlanet... And they didn't respond. But if you look at the image, I don't need to explain why this is obviously the Seaside Background, it is colour-coded after all.
This was the last "big" thing to happen to LittleBigPlanet HUB, Steven never confirmed it was cancelled but only delayed. Before anyone else says "LBP3 and LBPHUB are the same!", you're wrong, they aren't. Steven said that HUB was put off into the sidelines until 3 was completed, and that they were totally different.
And to add salt to the wounds caused by a sawblade covered in flames that bludgeoned you with a shark covered in poison barbs that were electrified, this happened...

The Early Version
I've already done an entire crappy video on this one trailer, but I'm going to dissect it some more. In case you're blind and somehow managing to read this (Congratulations by the way), THAT isn't LittleBigPlanet 3. Sure, it may use the same logo, sure there's Sackboy, sure there's quests. BUT LITTLEBIGPLANET 3 DOESN'T LOOK THAT MAGICAL. This honestly feels like what would have happened if LittleBigPlanet 3 was closer to LittleBigPlanet 2 aesthetically than LittleBigPlanet 1. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the handcrafted feeling of LittleBigPlanet 1 and 3 (Something LittleBigPlanet 2 completely left out), but this, THIS is what would happen if LittleBigPlanet 2 and 3 had the most epic baby that can, like, do dropkicks or drink SunnyD without looking like a twit (Truly mankind's greatest goal is to drink glorified Tang and look sane whilst doing so). This game is not an early version of LittleBigPlanet 3, no, it's more than that. This is basically all that we can expect out of LittleBigPlanet HUB.
The Dissection
Like my video, I'm going to dissect the ever-living crap out of this one video.
Just a note, the song is not M83 - Lower Your Eyelids To Die With The Sun, but rather M83 - New Map. CogMonkey (Also known as ARD) lied to you.
Here's everything I've noticed in this video...
Just a note, the song is not M83 - Lower Your Eyelids To Die With The Sun, but rather M83 - New Map. CogMonkey (Also known as ARD) lied to you.
Here's everything I've noticed in this video...
- This entire game takes place in waaaaay more than three layers, and possibly more than 16
- The terrain seems as if it is actually modeled, possibly it is the witchery of the Decoration Mount
- There are multiple "Transportation" Characters, a Squirrel, a bird, and a bee...balloon...thing.
- The "Transports" are blue and green, meaning they could be like buses (with colour-coded routes)
- The video is using the PS3 Sackboy model and texture, (Possibly temporary)
- All of the pedestrians use at least one piece of DLC on their costume, likely temporary
- Two characters introduced are the Baba Yaga woman, and the porcelain doll girl
- Currency is in larger quantities and has less value, unlike Collectibells
- The currency is buttons (Some of which are in LBP3 as decorations)
- Has compatibility with the old backgrounds (presumably just like LBP3)
- Magical Glasses... WHAT
- The magical glasses are normal costume pieces, but act like a powerup
- Zom-Zom doesn't exist (thank god) but instead... the Spiv, a turtle-bird
- An Umbrella powerup, has two uses, rail-rider when closed, slows falls when open
- There's some kind of internal organ-cathedral-fish-furnace area
- There's a paper mache cliff side by the ocean
- There's a medieval Italy setting
- There's an area that is a combination of the Adventure Time Treefort and LBP3's prologue
- There's an Otter-sausage place, I can't even explain it past that
- There's, of course, Baba Yaga's moving hut
- There's quests (possibly one had Sackboy chase Chicken-Fish in the Canyons)
- Pinky was there (more on that later)
- There seems to be a variant on the Prize Bubble, like a Prize Quadecahedron
Why this is most likely HUB
In the time that LittleBigPlanet HUB was not being talked about, LittleBigPlanet had changed. Gone were the days of three layers, now we have sixteen. Obviously, LittleBigPlanet Hub couldn't have been left behind in the outdated format from the days of old, so they had to make it more like LBP3 to keep up. Even the intro to the trailer SCREAMS LBP HUB, HUB is supposed to have the ability for the player to buy past levels from past games. And this is space for the Seaside theme to return, you buy a version of the Theme and this also has wiggle room for the other unused backgrounds (Midwest Trainyard, Russian Theatre, or Japanese Window).
